This weekend will feature a 'Creative Coloring Class' for adults and children with Lydia Hess of Amber Lotus Publishing. Lydia is a Coloring Book Author, Illustrator, and Graphic designer from Portland, OR. She will offer an engaging experience of coloring exploration with sacred nature and symbols through her adult coloring books. She will supply professional grade coloring tools (pencils and markers) and printed coloring pages from all 5 of her published books. Lydia will guide us through tips and techniques used in blending and coloring styles. This is calming art therapy so be prepared to relax and have fun! She will also have additional coloring books and gift items for sale. There will be two classes during the weekend. Saturday from 2-4pm. And Sunday from 1-3pm. The cost is $25 PER CLASS and includes one of her books! If you take both classes you go home with 2 books. You are not required to take both classes, but are welcome to.

Lydia has facilitated numerous creative coloring gatherings throughout the Pacific Northwest & Midwest in book stores, libraries and private in-home events. She is a long-time guest at the Flying L Ranch too!

We all provide our own food and cook in the fully-equipped Lodge kitchen. I'll coordinate a yummy and fun potluck dinner on Saturday night.You'll have plenty of time during this weekend to make your own arts & crafts, go snowshoeing, make new friends, and eat amazing food! Get Your Color On in this mindful, engaging experience of exploration into coloring with sacred nature and symbol. Professional illustrator and author of 2 coloring books for adults, Lydia Hess will facilitate exploring color pencil techniques and styles while you awaken your creative spirit through coloring. 

All coloring supplies, professional grade pencils, markers and printed coloring pages from the Sacred Nature and Sacred Symbols adult coloring books will be including in this evening of creativity and community. Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and wine while relaxing and enjoying an evening with fellow Franklin community members. Everyone will go home with a coloring book of their own.

This is event will be available as a buy-in Auction item at the Franklin High School Annual Fundraiser. Held on Feb. 20th.

The profound beauty of the natural world and all that it represents—the cycles of life, rebirth and renewal, the mystical power of plants and animals. You can also purchase signed books from me, of which part of the proceeds will benefit Salem Public Libraries.
